After graduating from Rhodes College in 2012, Margaux Anbouba moved back to Dallas and interned for D Magazine's shopping and weddings blogs. We loved her so much that we asked her to stick around for another semester as the D Moms, D Home, and D Weddings intern. While blogging, writing, and assisting on photo shoots for the D Brand, she also worked for Janet Rice Interiors. She even traveled to New York City with Rice for design work on a holiday showhouse and various buying trips.
Anbouba says she wasn't one of those girls who spends her free time dreaming about her wedding day. Things changed once she began her internship at D Weddings. These days, she's obsessed with everything bridal, from the cuisine to the dress and the vows. She says you can ever refer to her as the 'Haute Hostess.' She started a series under that heading for dweddings.com. For this issue, Anbouba scoured the Dallas Wedding scene for fresh and fun trends including new florists, venues, and rentals.
